Ft. Doug Wilson
Doug was what most people in the modern day world would have viewed as successful. He had moved to London for work, where he was working in a great corporate job, making great money, loved to party and seemed to be living “the life”.
It wasn’t until at the age of 31, Doug’s life changed as he knew it. Doug was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumour. After undergoing a 14-hour operation, and suffering extensive cranial nerve damage, he battled surgically induced meningitis, had to learn to walk again and still today faces life-long complications, including single-sided deafness, permanent balance issues and facial paralysis. In this episode, Doug takes us on his journey, on how in the middle of his madness, he found his way back to himself through yoga and meditation. Doug shows us how the universe is always talking to us, and it will either tickle you with a feather, or slap you in the face depending on how closely you are listening. This is an inspiring story where Doug shows us how he turned what seemed like a road to destruction, into the path of overcoming addiction, healing trauma and finding the way back to the truth of who he is. If you have ever had the feeling that there must be more to your existence, then this a must listen! If you would like to find Doug, you can follow him on Instagram @kundalinirunning, or check out his Youtube channel where he gives great information into the art and science of Yoga and Meditation, or head on over to his website to buy his book.
